Choose a course by the work you want to make

01

Begin with an output, not a job title

Write one sentence describing something you want to make: a responsive website, a campaign graphic, an analysis workbook or a 3D scene. Broad job titles can hide very different skills. Compare that output with the stated project on each course page and shortlist two options at most.

02

Check the practical requirements

Open the tools note and free lesson before paying. Can your computer run the required software? Do you have enough time to practise, not just read? A phone is useful for review, but it does not replace the external tools used for practical work. Separate the course fee from any optional software subscription.

03

Use the preview as a small test

Read the first chapter, follow a practice step and explain one idea in your own words. Notice whether the subject interests you when you are actually doing it. If an unfamiliar term stops you, keep a question list rather than assuming you cannot learn the subject.

04

Choose the smallest useful commitment

Buy the course that best matches your immediate output. A learning path suggests a sequence; it is not a requirement to purchase every subject. Finish and reflect on one project before deciding whether another course solves your next learning need.

Your next-step checklist

  • ✓ I can name the thing I want to make.
  • ✓ I checked the course project and tool requirements.
  • ✓ I tried the free first chapter.
  • ✓ I have time for practical work as well as reading.
